Session Information
I provide a variety of wraps/swaddles and props for your newborn. I do not provide outfits. We will discuss your preferences during our pre-sessions styling consultation after the session is booked.
Your DMV newborn photography session will take place at our studio in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Your session will take anywhere from 1.5 – 3 hours depending on the package you choose. Most of this time will be changing, feeding and burping baby. My main priority is that baby is safe and nice and comfy. Baby will be spoiled with soft, cozy blankets, temperature-controlled environment, white noise and unlimited feedings from his/her mom.
We will email you a link to a private gallery within 3 business days of your shoot. Once we receive your favorites, it will take 2 weeks to receive your final edited photos.
We allow family (parent and sibling) posing with the Newborn Experience session. If you are interested in parent and baby (no sibling) posing for the Newborn Petite, just keep in mind this will limit the solo baby posing.
For sibling posing, we always take these first and recommend bringing someone to help with the kids or take them back home once their portion is over. Alternatively, bring them snacks and a tablet! 🙂
Newborn sessions should be pre-booked in advance of your due date. These shoots are pretty popular and go fast. Be sure to book once you’re in your second trimester. During the first two weeks of baby’s life is when they’re squishiest and sleepiest which make for incredible photos. The actual session should occur within 2 weeks of baby’s due date. We do, however, accept babies after the 2-week mark. If baby comes early or late, we will reschedule accordingly.
