What makes the Holiday Season? Family. Friends. Food. Music. Gifts. We can’t forget about the annual family photos! D2D Focus’s Holiday Mini Sessions illustrate the joys of the holiday season. In under thirty minutes, merry memories are created, and seasonal images that can be cropped on Christmas cards, placed upon your mantel, and shared on social media are captured.
Last year, Fashion Stylist Monique Ross @styled_by_mdotross and her beautiful party of three graced the studio to take part in one of these sessions. In under thirty minutes, we shot these festive photos. We absolutely loved the way she styled everyone in cozy but polished coordinating neutrals. Gone are the days you have to match the family from head to toe!
We’ve all heard the phrase that a mother’s job is never done, correct? Well, a woman’s job, in general, is never done! As a wife, mother, and stylist, most would say that Monique’s hands are full. However, that has yet to stop her from spreading the holiday cheer in all aspects. In November and December of 2021, those same hands helped to conduct a fundraiser shoot with twenty families for Jack & Jill, Nation’s Capital Chapter.
Whew! Now that’s one phenomenal woman. Go ahead, Monique!
Giving back, especially during the holiday season, is another one of the many aspects that makes it. As a photographer, I take pride in being able to put a smile on my client’s faces. Therefore, it’s always special and admirable to see them doing the exact same for others.
Over the years, this passion of mine has allowed me to connect with so many gracious and influential people like Monique. During these sessions, we’re not only bonding over the beauty the camera captures but what may have brought us together at that moment. Not to mention, why! Monique and her family were a joy to work with and an even better addition to our Holiday Mini Sessions. Happiness radiated all over. Not only were they given memories to share and embellish in forever, but the studio was as well. Once again, one of the many aspects that makes the Holiday Season.
