Before we even get into the details of this Maternity DMV Session, let’s take a moment to clap for Ms.Grace Johnson! The definition of THAT GIRL, and I’m sure it’s more than obvious through this phenomenal gallery.
Now, Grace is a true boss! A dancer, choreographer, educator/coach, artist developer, and not to mention the owner of three amazing dance studios. If you know me, then you should know just how much I love rooting for women entrepreneurs. Any woman doing their thing in this era’s world of business deserves to be rooted for.
Neema Dance Collective is a versatile Dance Studio and Company located in the DMV area. They teach ballet, modern, jazz, and acrobatics dance techniques. So if have any little dancers on your hands, please do check them out!
With all of her accomplishments, Grace is a mother of two, with another on the way. This was her first-ever maternity shoot, so we had to make it memorable! Under the Maternity Deluxe, Grace flaunted four very different but exceptional looks. She was able to do a variety of poses and include her partner. It was the ultimate experience, especially since it was her first.
As far as her wardrobe choices, I mean, you guys see it! Reds, whites, and blacks. Bedazzled blazer sets, fabric pieces, and long flowy dresses. Listen, Grace and her personal stylist @taylordllc did not come to play, okay?
Let’s get into this red number, though. The original piece was a beautiful dress. This color against her skin was a perfect choice, and it just so happened that I had a piece of fabric of the exact same color and material within my inventory. So we added it for an extra dramatic flair. The piece was used to achieve the floating look you see in some of the photos. Once again, for all those expecting, you can NEVER go wrong with the floating fabric look. It was the perfect small addition and really brought the look altogether.
Nothing screams Mompreneur more than the bedazzled blazer set Grace wore for one of her looks. It went hand and hand with her partner’s choice of wear and magnified her beautiful belly. It definitely added a different approach to the shoot. For me, what stuck out in Grace’s session, was the versatility of all her looks.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, there is so much versatility in maternity sessions! The looks, styles, and theme options are endless. There are no limitations on what you can do, and she most definitely proved so.
